DISPLACEMENT OF INTRAOCULAR LENS FROM ITS NORMAL POSITION

CAUSES :

  • Trauma post cataract surgery
  • Inherent weakness of zonules and posterior capsule weakness or rupture (weakness of support holding lens)

 SYMPTOMS:

  • Decrease or change in the vision
  • Double vision
  • Glare

TREATMENT :

MIVS (MICROINCISION VITRECTOMY SURGERY ) +INTRAOCULAR LENS EXPLANTATION + SCLERAL FIXATION OF IOL
